Can Data Deploy configration file use parameter substitute

Hi,

Does anyone have experience using parameter substitute in Data Deploy configuration file? We are using version 7.1, were trying to pass in database password as a parameter into ddconfig.xml file. According to DD Admin Guide, it should be doable, however we keep getting connection error.

SQLException occured in JdbcCheckup:MakeConnection()
DBD: Exception Message: [BOSWEBSQL]Login failed for user 'iwdbadmin'.

Any suggestion? Thanks very much,

Your better off encrypting the passwords (if that's your choice) and putting them into the ODHOME/etc/database.xml file so that you don't pass them around as parameters.
