Question 6 - TeamSite Forms: Usage of Sequential Nav System for Series of User Steps

Does anyone know if it is possible to:

Replace the model of tabs with a sequential navigation system?

Currently, the multiple steps and screens that a user goes through when tagging a content item are accessed via tabs. This allows the user to jump to any screen in any order. Ideally, it would be better to control the order of steps, and reflect that order within the navigation control.



Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

An answer to questions 1, 2, 3 is a qualified "yes". Within certain (pretty strict actually...) limitations you can do all that.
It will probably won't look as pretty (or as perfectly aligned) as you perhaps imagine, but most of that
is possible with the use of Container/Item Labels and "read only" Entries and perhaps some FormAPI.

Just about the only thing that I cannot think of how to do is "Have a free floating text box, etc..."
Even that may be possible using "Container Label with the CDATA HTML..." Hack but I am not sure.

Answers to 4, 5, 6 are unqualified "yes". You can code all that using OTB FormAPI package.
All that said, quite a lot of us get paid for doing, among other things, exactly what you are asking to provide for free.

Frankly, I think you need either training on TS Development or hire somebody who can do it for you. We can help but it is
IMO naive to expect that somebody will find time to teach you.

At the very least, start by reading FormAPI Manual, see what you can do to code #4 and #5.
If something is unclear, ask and provide code that you want us to comment on...
