Livesite TinyMCE Textarea

chitresh

Hi All,

We are trying to customize the tinyMCE style for textarea datum in component. We have followed the method of adding the bean to customer-teamsite-resource-config.xml. Although it is taking the plugins for the buttons which we have developed we are not able to apply the appropriate stylesheet.
We have changed the following line

/example_data/example_full.css

to

/iw/custom/xyz.css

Please let us know whether any other changes are to be done. Also how can I get rid of the styleselect dropdown. We have successfully managed to do this in the DCT's.

we are using 7.2 on unix platform

You didn't specify *where* you were making those changes. Be sure to do it per the SitePub dev guide, i.e. edit under livesite_customer_src and run a 'build' to activate. Disabling the styleselect dropdown should simply be a matter of removing the button from the toolbar in that line of the config.

I haven't ever managed to get the contentCss or content_css line working properly. Instead, I've just changed (added) iw-home/httpd/iw/tinymce/jscript/tiny_mce/themes/advanced/default/content.css to have @include -style pointers to my CSS files. TinyMCE always tries to load that content.css file, but by default IWOV hasn't provided one so it 404's.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply this is /iw-home/local/config/lib/content_center/livesite_customer_src/etc/conf/livesite_customer/resources
where I am modifying the customer-teamsite-resource-config.xml file.

The current CSS is /example_data/example_full.css. I am not sure where this CSS is located. Also regarding the drop-down I have managed to remove it for DCT's by doing changes in custom_config.js but the changes are not reflecting for component textarea datum.

This file doesn't actually exist. It's intended to show you how you'd specify the path to your own, but (in my experience) that config param doesn't actually work. That's why I suggested adding the content.css at the very specific path, which DOES work.

Also regarding the drop-down I have managed to remove it for DCT's by doing changes in custom_config.js but the changes are not reflecting for component textarea datum.

You have to make the same changes in the customer-teamsite-resource-config.xml, and run a LiveSite build. RTM => SitePub Dev Guide.

Creating your own CSS and adding the CSS to the page will display the IDs defined in your CSS under styles drop down of Tinymce editor (SP).
