TS removes LDAP users

RHEL5, TS 7.3.1

Does anyone know why TeamSite would remove LDAP users from the system automatically?

We had a disk space issue that caused TS to lock up. As part of this it automatically dropped all users except iwui, iwts & root

Any idea why would the application decide to do this?

When you say removed LDAP users from system - you mean - removed them as TeamSite users - not removed them from LDAP - right?

My guess is that it lost connectivity to LDAP and decided that since there was no LDAP that all such users were invalid and "cleaned them up" - but that's just a guess.

If you have a backup copy of your tsusers.xml file you should be able to drop it into place (once you've got your LDAP configured again) and it should "just work" - unless something changed in the manner in which the LDAP was configured.

Yes sorry the users were removed from TeamSite only not LDAP.

I wondered if we could switch this functionality off?

I doubt it, nor would I recommend it. If you have a problem with your LDAP connectivity - you should fix that (the problem) rather than trying to prevent TeamSite from cleaning up unavailable accounts (the symptom)
