TeamSite 7.3.1 Update1 and Update2

Hi all,

Saw on the support site that has TeamSite 7.3.1 Update1 and Update2. Looked through the files, but there is no README.txt or any other file that explain what the updates actually do. Any idea what these updates do and why I should apply those updates?

There are readme files inside the zip files - or at least there was when I downloaded them.

From memory (and I could be missing/forgetting something):

Update 1 - the biggest change is in the Workflow Modeller. Some search stuff as well.
Update 2 - was only related to search.

We checked with Support when we saw the list of updates on Support site some time in March this year. Hope the list is still the same:

1) Support for IE9 for the new Workflow Modeler web app.
2) IDOL Taxonomy Solution to replace MetaTagger.
3) Enhancements to the IDOL index service.

Once you download the zip file for update 1 and update 2. once you Unzipp it, you will get the pfd file for readme. In this file you will get all the information related to these update1 and update 2

Why is Iwov ALWAYS changing the way they distribute the readme's and rel-notes?
I tend to think it is better to first READ the rel-notes before actually downloading it.

Because they have a distinctly different definition of "customer service" in which thinking about the customer's needs tends to come last (seemingly)

The release notes are available separate from the update, in PDF format. On the Iwov support site, they're under the 7.3.1 downloads, named TeamSite_7.3.1U1_ReleaseNotes_rev0_en.pdf and TeamSite_7.3.1U2_ReleaseNotes_en.pdf. They're probably available via the search on Autonomy's customer portal as well.

Thanks rpoulin. I thought I would find some documentation in the zip file, but it is separated into different downloads. I tried to unzip, but all the readme file says is how to install the updates without any explanation of what the updates are for.

Hi,

Did anybody try to install Update1 and have it working?

Looks like my 7.3.1 install is screwed after trying the update1.
It mentioned that we are suppose to have this file:

- c:\Interwoven\TeamSite\private\lib\content_center\formspub.tk.war

But I did not find that file in the zip file. Now when I try to browse to http://teamsite731 server, I am getting a 404. This was after trying to run:

* Run c:\Interwoven\TeamSite\install\install_webapps.ipl -f content_center according to the Readme file.
The instruction should really say "backup your iw-cc.war" folder first!

Arghh... Is my only choice is to reinstall? Or try to install 7.3.1 on another machine and copy the iw-cc.war files to this machine?

Open up the iwpkg file like a zip and just grab it from there.

This was after trying to run:
* Run c:\Interwoven\TeamSite\install\install_webapps.ipl -f content_center according to the Readme file.

In my experience, fixing any permissions and file locking issues with the app container and the /iwadmin/main/spars branch gets this script working again, even though it appears to require things from iw-cc.war that it just finished deleting. Are you sure it's not complaining about anything else?
