MediaBin cannot validate guest user "DOMAIN\user"

When we are trying to configure the MediaBin through TS UI connector, I am getting the below error.

"MediaBin cannot validate guest user "DOMAIN\user""

We can see the error in content_center.log:

2012-07-16 21:01:07,250 [http-0.0.0.0-8080-24] ERROR com.interwoven.ui.teamsite.ecmconnector.mediabin.MediaBinConfigContext () - java.rmi.RemoteException: MediaBin cannot validate guest user "DOMAIN\user"

The values (username & password) we provided is proper as part of configuration.

Here is the system details:

TS: 7.2 (Linux)
MB: 7.2 (Windows server 2008 R2 Enterprise)

The specified web service URL is working fine:

http:///MediaBinWebService/MediaBinServer.asmx

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Check the authentication method selected on the MediaBinServer.asmx on the IIS.

You can try with the Integrated and Basic Authenticaiton enabled and disable the Anonymous authentication.

Go to Workarea and try to import the file directly and see if it is the same error.

Thank you for your reply. Issue got resolved. Issue was Roles not installed properly and one of the MB DLL got corrupted.

Along the same lines as this thread...

We have been able to get Guest user to work to connect to VMB, however we cannot get TeamSite user to validate. Getting same error as when Guest account was not working.
