OpenDeploy receiver not starting...

Hello and thank you for your help.

Setup: Centos 6.5 on AWS

I am attempting the set up an open deploy receiver. Reading through the od.log, there is no obvious error.

2015-04-23 14:06:08.630 GMT+0000 odLog [OpenDeploy Main] - SVR: RMI server binding hostname/IP address not requested in deploy.cfg file.
SVR: Will use default which is the local hostname.
2015-04-23 14:06:08.630 GMT+0000 odLog [OpenDeploy Main] - SVR: RMI server binding hostname/IP address in Java property is null.

WARNING: The OpenDeploy server is still not responding.
WARNING: Please check the OpenDeploy server log.
WARNING: OpenDeploy might have failed during start up or
it might still be in the process of starting up.
Make sure OpenDeploy server successfully
started up before doing deployments.

1) Does the receiver need to reach back to the sending OpenDeploy receiver? If so, over what port?

2) Is there a way to set the host name for the two warnings above?

Have you generated a license yet? That is not required but that uses the same way to get the hostname.

Put the hostname in /etc/hosts

The manual has the instructions to collect the informatoin for the license, run that command and you should see your issue

It does NOT need to connect to the OD base server to start up

From my log file it looks like it is generating a temporary license.

We do have a company wide license...how would I specify that from the deploy.cfg?

Is it using "Deploy.licCustomerID"?

I know you are using a temporary license, since you likely don't hav e avalid hostname per OD

Run this

java -cp od-home/lib/odng.jar com.interwoven.license.LicInfo -f output-file -p OD

replace od-home and output-file with valid information

what do you mean same result? DId it give you a hotname or not? Can you ping that hostname?

if you odrcvr.xml file is correct then you should call support

This was finally resolved. I had a problem with my odnodes.xml. I had my (base?) OD server as my local server.
