Firebug. That's all I'm going to say.

Through firebug, i got only link id.

Can we remove End Job from Job Action List?

chnkumar

Actually I got both ids from C:\iw-home\httpd\webapps\content_center\WEB-INF\conf\ccpro\ui_workflow.xml

link id="iw.ccpro.job_actions_menu.endjob.link"
refid="_iw.teamsite.common.dialog_popup.link"
label="job_details.remove_job.menu.label"
resourceBundle="com.interwoven.ui.teamsite.ccpro.workflow"
description="job_details.remove_job.menu.label"
commandID="iw.ccpro.remove_job"
target="EndJob"
public="true"

When i try to delete this link using iwov-delete tag, I still see end Jobs label.

Please check attached ui_custom_entry.xml

Please assist.

Just to verify - since I didn't see any indication in your post:

Hi ghoti,

OS: Windows Server 2003 SP2
TS Version: Interwoven TeamSite 6.7.2 Service Pack 2

I ran make tool kit after modifying ui_custom.xml

I have Admin access to run tool kit and i have master role on TS.

You could have seen both by walking up the DOM tree in firebug.. /justsayin

Your posted snippet doesn't appear to contain any text, as far as I can tell.. is that just me? Try posting the whole thing between PHP code brackets for easier reading. Typically, you just need to specify both the editor (ccpro/ccstd) and menu ID as contexts around your iwov-delete, copying the same structure as the reference file, and it sounds like you have.. so must be a minor syntax thing.

The code posted was:

While the id value would seem to jive with what I see in firebug - I'm not sure where that refid comes from - have you tried removing that part and re-doing the make_toolkit.ipl? (remembering to refresh your browser afterwards)

Also - although in general terms you should be able to make the link element an empty element (<link ..../>) all the examples in the manual seem to always show it as a container element (<link ...></link>) - while I think that's a mistake on the part of the folks writing the documentation, it might be worth trying that adjustment as well if getting rid of the refid by itself isn't sufficient.

(I haven't tried any of this out myself)

Hi Ghoti,

I removed refid part and tried, but didn't work out. I checked on another system also, no result.

Can you please paste the link id what you see in your firebug.

Thanks

I see (in 7.3.1) what you posted -

id="iw.ccpro.job_actions_menu.endjob.link"

Perhaps the issue is with the heading or menu id's?
You could try using the menu id

_iw.ccpro.job_actions.menu

which, if my reading from the documentation is accurate, means that any other menus that refer to that [ref]id will also be affected by the changes being specified.

chnkumar

Hi ghoti,

No luck with that menu id also. When I add new link under this menu, that works. This means heading and menu ids are valid.

Rick Poulin

Apologies for my previous snarky comment -- this case specifically is much less straightforward than I remembered it.

Because the menu is a ref to a global element and not the link, deleting links doesn't actually work. You'll have to replace (delete) the whole existing <menu> with your own, where you only re-add the other links that you want to keep (e.g. view properties). The full list of original globals in this case is in this file (7.x):

(iwhome)\ApplicationContainer\server\default\deploy\iw-cc.war\WEB-INF\conf\ccpro\ui_workflow.xml

Hi rpoulin,

Awesome, it works.

Thank you so much for your help.
