WF error for one user

We are seeing a strange issue for one of user. Whenever the user is initiating the workflow the workflow gets stuck at one of the external task. The error in the trace log is:

Execution of command d:\iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl failed (Error: 2000004) for user: corp\beverber
Could not run d:\iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl d:\iw-home/bin/Deploy/opendeploy.ipl drprod for task 18673150; retrying in 1 minute

We have tried removing the user from TS users list and re-added to check if that was any permissions issue. But re-adding the user didn't help either.

Does anyone know what the error means and a way to fix this is highly appreciated.

That user probably needs log on locally permission on the server.

What kind of authentication you are using for TS Users? Active Directory or on the box authentication.

In both cases, I would try to create a dummy user with same permissions level as your issue user and see if that works.

Assuming that this person is not a Master, I would make him a master and see if it works for you.

It's most likely not a TeamSite role issue - it's more likely a Windows policy issue with respect to the user's ability to run programs, as themselves, on the server. Usually an easy way to verify this is add the user to the Local Administrators group on the box and see if the problem goes away (Local Administrators have Logon Locally privileges - which, as Nipper pointed out - is most likely the issue)

The only other thing I can think of is that somehow this one user doesn't have access to IWHOME/iw-perl/bin/iwperl for some reason other than logon locally privileges.

We even tried asking the user to logon from a different machine, assuming the problem might be with the user's machine, but same results using both IE and FF.

I have raised the ticket with Interwoven as well.

Need to verify adding the user to local administrators group and try.
