how to configure TS to use OS users

TeamSite 741, Win Server 2008

 

1)  I have added users to Win Server 8 under "Users" on server.

Now when I am , going in TS and tryinmg to add these users nby selecting database as "OS", TS shows message "Users are not found" Why is that ?

How can I get users, I added to server be available for adding to TS ?

 

 

2)  Thers are other 2 domain options R2-RBC1, R2-COMM. These are available under LDAP browse. When I select LDAP browse, I can see these options. But again, users under these dir are not available. I am getting error message "Request failed"

When I select database as "OS" and then type in user name "testgrp1". I can a list of users R2-RBC1\testgrp10, R2-RBC1\testgrp11, R2-RBC1\testgrp12, R2-RBC1\testgrp13, R2-COMM\testgrp13

Why are these users not available under LDAP browse ?

If you are adding these users directly to the OS - you do not need (nor want, in their case) the user_database.xml file - what you need to do is setup the domain_list settings in the IWHOME/etc/iw.cfg (Windows - for Unix it's just /etc/iw.cfg).  There are two such settings - one for iwcgi and one for iwserver. The former should include the local server name, the latter should not.

 

When they go to login they need to make sure they have the proper domain (actual domain or server name) selected.
