Hi,
Unable to open the suggested link. /?t=40075&forumid=11. It takes me to home page.
I am unable to pass the workflow id as istance variable to Deploy Task. Tried with following options:
1. Create a global configurable variable "wftid".
Approach 1:
2 . Create start op variabale named "wftid" and set its value as "%workflowid
3. set the value of Deploy task variable "odDeploymentInst" as "iw_cv(wftid)".
Approach 2:
2 . Create start op variabale named "wftid" and set its value as "%taskid
Approach 3:
2. Just before Deploy task, created a URLExternalTask to call a java class and set the value of globalvariable "wftid" as csclient.task.workflowid (converted integer to string)
Please advise.
EA Start/Finish ops will assign an EA called "wftid" to each file attached to the job, when this task starts/ends. WFM configurable variables (IW_CV) are computed when a jobspec is generated from the model, before IDs are even assigned to the objects. So what you tried had no chance of ever working.
I don't know of any way to do this purely using the WFM. I would instead suggest either
a) write an external task that resolves the deploy task before you get there, and add the variable to it
b) extend the deploy task implementation to add the variable to itself before dispatching the actual execution
