Author Role not able to edit files

HI,

This is on TS 7.3.2 Windows 2008 64 bit R2

Im creating a user and give the Author Role(OOTB). assing the role to a branch and user is not able to edit anything. The edit link is grayout.

Any Info please?

it might help if you could post some screenshots - the role assignment and the logged in user with grayed out links

I Found the issue.

someone had changed the workarea Sharing from Groups to Individual. Once I changed back to groups and give the correct group to the workarea the edit functionality appeared.
