Bulk deployment and Approval process in MediaBin

Hi,

My req. is to resize assets ( to diff sizes depending on the platform) and then go through a approval process . If approved then deploy the same to the web servers. I know we have workflows in MB which can deploy content. But can we have the same approval process as in TeamSite .i.e create groups and approver will be one member from the group.
Also can we apply various tasks to a single Workflow creating different files for different tasks? And deploy these assets in bulk ?

This can be done using Process Automation(LiquidOffice) based workflow in MediaBin.

Hi ravi,

Do we need to install process automation app separately ? Do we have a separate UI/web client for the same ?
Do we have manuals for the same. Kindly let me know as I have not heard of tis implementation.

Hi Mav,

Yes, Process Automation is a separate installer and access to this download will be provided based on the entitlement.

This runs on Tomcat and requires Database (SQL/Oracle/MySQL).

There are some OOTB APA based workflows available in ...\MediaBin Server\VMB LiquidOffice Extensions\Workflows folder. And these are basic workflows. Custom workflows can be designed in Process Studio using Bean Shell scripting along with MBWebServices.

These workflows can only be opened in Process Studio of Process Automation Server.
