Issue with Output file generation

Hello All,

I am beginner for DCT/TPL configuration and execution.
I have created a DCT and define associated TPL for same. Now at the time of output file generation for any DCR, it throws error. Error message in browser shows that "Issue with Presentation Template compilation. Please check log more error.

I haven't mentioned any log file in DCT/TPL then where this error is getting updated. Please guide me if any dedicated log file is there in TeamSite for DCT/TPL.

Hello Jay,

I would first ask you to check your Presentation Template. You can upload here in the forum. I think iwtrace log file will serve your purpose.

You will need to look at the iwutild_cmdout.log file for presentation template errors. This is one of the harder programs to debug as your output is not directly to the console, but it happens during the generation of your output file. You can also look at using the clt called iwpt_compile.ipl with debug option. There should be a kb article about it on the support site and how to debug your presentation template using the command above.

Try generating output file with other login credentials. If that works fine then look at the permission user /group associated with DCR , output file and also check the permission on workarea level.
