Check if output file exist from javascript

Hey Guys,

I'm having an issue, this code worked last week but doesn't work anymore which is strange. So I have been trying to find an alternate solution for regenerating output file if exists via javascript file linked to DCT.

I have attached js code that does work locally and directly on server via a test html file, but doesn't from editing an existing DCR. The alert shows correct path to file but always return false, but returned true last week.

Any help is greatly appreciated to locate existing output file via javascript.

This seems unnecessarily convoluted. You have a perl script that doesn't seem connected to this, but you should be calling it with a callServer rather than an activex object. Presumably, that's where things went wrong for you, as the JS here doesn't actually check for existence anywhere.

Another JavaScript only way would be to do an ajax HEAD request to the filepath.

NOTE: I think you need to use "iw-mount" in the URL - eg. '/iw-mount/default/main/path/to/file.whatever'.
