License required to Setup LSDS on tomcat on developer machine for development

Can anyone please confirm if I setup a LSDS runtime on local machine for the development purpose needs license. I remember, if we put the LiveSiteDisplayServices folder under the tomcat and configure it.

It will able to render the pages for testing purpose whereas it will utilize the LSCS and other stuff from your licensed development version.

If anyone has any clue, please respond.

LSDS does not have a node locked license like TS/OD/LSCS. However that does not mean it is free to use. Nothing will stop you from installing it on a Tomcat instance, however your company may be out of complience with its license agreement. I would talk to the person who purchased the suite and find out what, if any, restrictions there are on LSDS instances.
