I'm wondering if anyone tried reverting TinyMCE to 3.1.2. on TS 7.5. Is it even possible?

This would not be a supported configuration of TeamSite 7.5, just as upgrading TinyMCE in a prior version would not be supported. We expect 7.5.0.1 to have some corrections for TinyMCE 4.x.

Out of curiosity, why would you ever want to revert? TinyMCE 4 is so much more stable and actually has a proper API, so it should be almost effortless to upgrade any custom plugins you had built previously.
Just considering that as an option if it's possible. 4.1.4 is definitley better, but if you have a customized clone of some of the stock 3.1.2 plugins (ie. table) you can't move these customizations as easily without putting out effort.
It's really just an effort consideration. With a possiblity to revert you can always delay upgrading to 4.1.4 to a later time when you've got all of your custom plugins ready.
There's also the compat3x plugin which does a prettly good job of providing backwards compatibility, but for some reason it was not bundled with 7.5.
I suppose.. I guess I just don't see the point in considering a partial upgrade. A platform upgrade always involves effort, so I'd say the extra effort to upgrade feature X is better than the risk involved in trying to mix and match different pieces that aren't meant to go together.

What are these corrections you manetioned? Can you be VERY specific?
I only know of a couple of issues related to customizations and the documentation for the new version of TinyMCE. For specifics, though, I'd recommend speaking to your account representative, who's able to provide a bit more information about not-yet-released updates than Support can.
