scott_field
Hello,
I am writing a presentation template in XSL. I want to get the DCR name in the in my XSL code. Is there a way to get it? Is there any API that interwoven provided to use for writing presentation templates in xsl?
I have gone through some default examples, But i did not find any clue.
Thanks!!

Nothing exists like that in XSL. The XSL is general purpose and not IWOV specific. You can code it in Java and reference it in the XSL.

Thanks!! for your response
What if we use a tpl? Which was is best to write the presentation templates.

Easy to do in a tpl, though you need OS users to use the TPL (log on localls for those who are DOS minded). XSL is a standard, TPL is much more functional (IMHO).

Seconded.
The typical approach to this is to use a hidden field in your DCR and then use FormAPI to populate the field onFormInit. Easy, but the drawback is that if you rename your DCR, it won't update that field until you edit+save again (that is, without further customization).
