Is a log of failed login attempts maintained by Teamsite if, so where can I find the log file?

You can view the servletd.log that resides in /var/adm/iwui on Unix systems. This records all attempted logins (in TSv5.5.2 anyway) including failed logins.

The error messages look something like this:

OpenAPIAuthenticator.authenticate(SimpleIdentity[ username=mbrown domainname=null rolename=master])
2003-01-08 16:51:41 - Authentication error: user=mbrown; domain=null; role=master

In NT you can look at the security log in Event Viewer. TeamSite logs failed attempts there.
