Browse button caused DCR cannot be saved problem

Hi,

I wonder if any of you encountered the same problem when enterring a "/" into a Browser field in any template (aka FormsPublisher), it created an incorrect file association that caused a DCR cannot be saved. Followings are the steps to reproduce this problem that caused a DCR cannot be saved:

1. enter / in any browser item (a text field with a Browse button)
2. save the DCR
3. select the DCR and then select Actions > Find Associated Files
4. you will see there is an Association for "Content Record uses image", File Name is "STAGING" and location is "null" (this is the problem cased DCR cannot be saved)
5. edit the same DCR again, and then click Save
6. you will see an error msg "Save was unsuccessful. Check the path or contact your TeamSite administrator."

The most confusing thing is although there is an error msg pops up, when you open the file again, you see your change did get saved. Seems to me that broken file association triggered the Error msg to pop up.

Anyone know how we can remove that incorrect file association?

If you edit the DCR and put a valid value in the browser field and save the DCR - are the dependencies fixed? Or is there still some issue lingering on?

It depends on what the original input was. But, for "/", re-entering a valid file does not remove the broken association.

I reported this problem to the HP tech support. They are looking into a fix now.
