TeamSite Search: How to exclude EDITIONS from indexing?

Hi,

TeamSite 7.3.1

Is there any way to specify not to index the EDITIONS on a branch? Can I specify that on the search.properties : iw.index.skip.specificfiles.beginningpaths ? Will that work? OR just adding true to iw.bulkindex.latest.edition.only will work?

Any help would be much appreciated.

It's my understanding that the indexer uses editions to determine what has changed in STAGING, so no, you can't exclude editions.

Would be nice, though, especially on an older system with lots of editions. Indexing from scratch can be painful if there a lot of files.
