submit related DCR to staging

Hello,

I am using workflow modeler to create a review workflow where a content editor fills a dcr and generate an html file, then only the html file is send to the reviewer for approval or rejection,all my tasks are working as expected, my question is:

is there a way to submit to staging the related DCR of html file once it is approved by reviewer?

I need the DCR in staging to fire a datadeploy from that location.

I'm not sure why you need to detach the DCR in the first place, but yes, there are options. The generated HTML file will have an EA (if not also an association) to the source DCR so you could have an external task reattach the DCR to the job once the review has been completed.

I did not want to detach the DCR, it did by itself, my first task on the workflow is a ReviewTask that notifies the reviewer, it only sends the html file because the user only selects that one.

Then my suggestion would be to train your authors to submit the DCR and let the workflow auto-generate the output HTML before going to the review step.

Alternately, you can create a task at the start of the workflow to auto-attach the DCR corresponding to any submitted HTML files, based on the EA/association I mentioned.

Both the options suggested by rpoulin are good. But I would generally go wtih the first option as the work on the business user side is reduced since the HTML generation is taken care by the WFlow itself.

i am comming back to this issue, i like your second suggestion, not sure what category of task will it be?

i believe a External Task but then, is there something out of the box script to attached the related DCR's base on EA of the file?

There's no example task, but all the APIs are there for you to use (in Java, not PERL).
