Mac Native Client for MediaBin 8.0.3

traghu

Hello,

I am in the process of migrating from MediaBin 4.6.2 to MediaBin 8.0.3. The migration process has been going ok but I do not see a Mac Native Client for the 8.0.3 version, most of the artists use the Mac client to access MediaBin, wondering if there is an earlier version of Mac Native client that is compatible with 8.0.3 or is the new MediaBin 8 web based UI (also known as RMM?) only option for Mac users to access MediaBin 8.0.3?

Couple of other questions I have with the 8.0.3 version,

1) In the MediaBin 8 Upload assets interface, the "Add Folder" button is disabled? How can that be enabled (I went through the Admin doc but was unable to find the information)
2) Is some version of Process Automation software included with the basic MediaBin license (no VideoLogger license)? I see LiquidOffice license information under MBServer install directory, wondering if that allows for Process Automation software to be used in some capacity with MediaBin.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read/respond to my queries.

Thanks,
Raghavendar

Thank you Shravan for your response, appreciate it. I also got the answers from support on the other two questions I had

1. "Add Folder" button is displayed only if Java is enabled in the user's browser
2. Process Automation software is available under a separate license.

Actually, the Windows native client is still available. I believe the latest version of it is 7.2, however this works with MB 8.0.3.

The RMM client is still missing many administrative features that WIN client has, which is why it is still necessary.

I don't know, but we have been on many support calls where they ask us to validate some issue in the RMM web client using the WIN client.

However, it is possible that they discontinue it with 8.1 if they get all admin features in RMM.

You can use the Windows client with MediaBin 8.x. If any issues with Windows client, it wont be fixed by HP.
