Fetching comments after page conversion

Hi,

I wanted to fetch the comments which we manually enter in the task comments section after the page conversion task in a workflow. Please refer the image below:

The comments entered here are not captured as task comments and also does not appear in the comments list. All the other comments either manually entered or dynamically sent through a perl file are captured and can be fetched through $task->GetComments() api.

If we consider the first image , we are entering the comment for task id 205891 but here if we check the task comments the list shows the comment returned by the external task ipl as task comment.

Does anybody have any idea how these comments can be fetched or if there is some configuration somewhere through which we can have these comments appear in the job comments list.

Firstly did you do a related search on this site? There are lot of similar issues and resolutions for workflow commenting.

Hi,

Obviously I have searched for the same. But if you read my question properly I have mentioned there that I am trying to fetch the specific comment after the page conversion which is not accessible through GetComments API. I am able to fetch all the other comments apart from this one.

@Sanvedna,

Did you try running the workflow in the debug mode and see? If so can you post it. And also did you put a foreach on all the comments and output it in the log with ids to verify that your comment is not being captured?

Thanks for your reply and yes I tried all what you had mentioned.

By doing a foreach I am getting the list of all the comments that are there in the second screenshot of mine.

Debug mode doesnt help as the comment I am referring to is the comment that will be manually entered in the third task But yes I tried fetching the wf xml by iwgetwfobj but that too doesnt help here.

If you can post the debug XML it will give an idea about the task comment. And that would help move further.

From the workflow's perspective, a comment is a comment.

If you want only comments that were written by users, then perhaps you can get only the comments that are attached to User/Group/CGI tasks.
