Customize TagUI Screen

Hi,

We are using TeamSite 7.4.1
OS - Windows 2008 R2

I have customize the Tag UI screen by adding the ruleset in datacapture.cfg file.
When i tag any file with this custom Tag UI screen, it will set the metadata as -
TeamSite/Metadata/Item Name:Value

Is there any way to customize this, so that it will set metadata as -
Item Name: Value only not as TeamSite/Metadata/Item Name :Value

You're not trying to customize the TagUI screen, you're trying to customize the results of performing the tagging.

The Tagging UI will always set the keys as:[indent]

TeamSite/Metadata/item_name:value

[/indent]If you really need the EAs to not have the leading part of the key name (please explain why) you would have to do it as a post-processing routine that took the list of EAs that exist and creates them without the leading part of the key name.

This then gets you to the question:

You kinda missed ghoti's point.. This is not a good idea. You should explain why you want to do this in the first place, so that we may suggest an alternate way of satisfying the requirement. (or, should there be no other option, we can clarify the what+how of post-processing).

Actually, we have 1000+ DCR's in which we have some EA sets and in the new Tag UI screen we want to pre-populate those values.

Eg- Current DCR EA - Section : Bussiness
New DCR EA - TeamSite/Metadata/Section: Bussiness.

As EA value is same, so we want to pre-populate these EA's.

The fact that you have EAs that are currently of the form "Section : Business" means that they were set through some means other than the Tag UI (new or old) and that they will never pre-populate the Tag UI form.

So - you have to ask yourself (or I will for you ;-)):

Anything you de-compile and make changes to would be a violation of your Support contract - so I wouldn't recommend that even if I knew whether there was one.
The only configuration files you can change for metadata capture are documented in the manuals.
