Default Collections not coming in Collections but coming in Search

Hi All,

MB :- 8.0.3

I am not able to see "default Collections" like 1)Recently Added 2)Recently Added By Me in the Collection view.

BUT

When I click on the search, i am able to see those. Is this suppose to work this way ?

Note:- Its a new MB installation.

Yes that is the way it is suppose to be.

Collections are static, meaning assets in a collection will appear/disappear when users add/remove them to/from a collection manually.

Assets in a Search collection will change based on metadata, dynamically.

Meaning recently uploaded by you assets will automatically appear in the search collection based on the matching metadata fields insertion user and some insertion date field (cannot remember the exact names).

From MB 803, Saved Searches are Dynamic collections; Collections are Static collections

Thanks all...Found a way to get this done...simply need to change the "Type" in collections table in DB from 0 to 4.

Glad you found a way to get what you wanted.

So (for example) "Recently added by Me" collection is now appearing under both the "Collections" and "Searched" UI tabs?

Are you seeing new assets automatically added to (for example) "Recently added by Me" collection when it is under the "Collection" tab in the UI?
