Unable to attachFiles to the task through CSSDK

Hello,
I am writing a class in CSSDK for attaching the selected files to the workflow.

CSTask task = wfEngine.getTask(Integer.parseInt("Tasknumber");
String workarea=task.getArea().getVPath().getPathNoServer ().toString();
CSAreaRelativePath areaPath = new CSAreaRelativePath("default/main/..");
paths[0]= areaPath ;
CSPathStatus[] status ;
status = task.attachFiles( paths);

Tasknumber is the tasknumber for my existing workflow.

It does not attach the required files to the specified task.I tried to print the areaRelative path by vpath.getAreaRelativePath()) which gives a blank.

Any idea why this must be happening.

I think you may need to add a bunch of diagnostic print statements to your code to figure out where and why its failing.

For one thing - is this code being run externally to the workflow, or internally as an External Task / URL External Task or CGI Task ?

If an Extneral Task - you should be writing the code as per the manual, in which case you would already have a handle on the task in question (which thus removes some of your potentially errant code)

Besides that - you show a reference to an array called

paths

without showing its declaration, and you always seem to be referencing the 0th element of the array, which appears to be set to a questionable value -

CSAreaRelativePath("default/main/..");

is not a valid path to a file, and therefore would never get added to the task.

Perhaps you over-simplified the code for the forum?
