Gosh Darnet... TS 5.5 W2K
We are currently using
BrightStor EB Agent (By Computer Associates) as well as
BrightStor's Backup Agent for Open Files. They are Mutually exclusive.
IW states that you should use the iwfreeze command whenever backing up the iw-store. IW also states that you should use backup software for possible
Open Files (KB Article: 2205).
In here lies the rub...
BrightStor EB Agent for backing up files can run a pre and post command (iwfreeze) when performing file backup but is not made for
Open Files.
BrightStor's Backup Agent for Open Files can handle Open Files but cannot run a pre or post command (iwfreeze) or batch file before backing up.
Is it safe to say that since the BrightStor's Backup Agent for Open Files with out running the iwfeeze command is good enough?
What other possible solutions could there be?
