Add the field to the "Create a New Node"

In the Site Publisher Site Map , When we create a new node in a site using
File-> New Node menu.

Can we add the field to the "Create a New Node" Form so that this field can be saved with
rest of the data in default.sitemap? The fields that we wish to add are the metadata
attributes( like rel, target etc.) for the link of the node.

You can't add fields to that. The whole thing is built in ExtJS without any (documented) configurable framework backing to it. Your closest option is to use another existing field (e.g. 'description') to capture the additional metadata, but it's terrible UX. The only suggestion I have, which may be more effort than it's worth for your purposes, is to write your own custom sitemap: new external(s), new XML file, new drag+drop management screen in TS.
