Upgrade/Reinstall process failed

GomathiP

TeamSite 7.2.0 was installed in solaris 10 server a year back, it was working fine. After few months stopped use that server.

Now we tried to use the same server, after put valid lic also services are not coming up. So tried to reinstall but that failed with following reason.

The upgrade/reinstall processing was unsuccessful.
com.interwoven.wcm.service.iwovregistry.common.ConfigException: IR Service not up

Also don't get option to uninstall, please help me to resolve the issue

Thanks & Regards,
P.Gomathi

Well you are not providing any useful information

There are log files

Most likely it is configured to talk to a DB that is unavailable, but there are other possibilities. You can manually uninstall it. On Unix it is pretty easy.

mart2001

There's a command something like iwirregister in the /Interwoven/CommonServicesClient/bin directory that you can use to register the IR service.

HKN1104

Run command iwirstat.bat or sh and check whether IR Service is registered and running.

Thanks

Sounds like you either have a corrupted binary, or you managed to install the wrong version of TeamSite (i.e. for the wrong OS) on your server.

Is your Solaris 10 running on a Sun Microsystem box or an i386 box? Did you get the correct installer for that box?

GomathiP

I'm installing TeamSite on Solaris 10 which is installed in sun sparc box. Installer looks correct, but still it give issue.

I have no idea what error 137 is (I don't have a Solaris box handy to check - there is no such error number in the sys/errno.h on my Mac) -- I suggest you contact Support.

I thought path is the problem, I used /opt for both iw-home & iw-store. Again I tried installation with different path, but that also failed. So my understanding is wrong.

Finally I raised support case with all set of logs.
