I have 2 tabs in the form. On form load i want focus to be on second tab.how can i achieve this?

Restructure your DCT so that what is now the second tab becomes the first tab.
Other than that, I don't think there is a way to force the focus into the second tab.

That's nice - but if the application doesn't support it - what are you going to do?

The only thing that might work is to add some FormAPI code to the DCT to then attempt to use FormAPI / Javascript to coerce the focus onto the 2nd tab.

I have never had to do this, so I have no idea of how much effort it would take, or even if it is possible (I imagine it is, but I don't know that it is)

Sometimes a requirement is just wishful thinking that needs to be replaced with training and/or resetting expectations.
