LSCS Deployment Failing

Hi,

The LSCS Deployments are failing and throwing the attached error.

- Any one has faced the same scenario earlier.
- What all .jar's are required for LSCS Deployment to work

The Deployment used to work fine few days ago.

I have found the issue, the issue is because of Conflicting jars.

Can any one please send me the List of jars that are present in iwcc war file(TS 7.2.1 Linux)

The jar you care about is likely the rtserver jar. Just a guess but that is critical for deployments. I don't have a 721 server available to check the version.

Rather than comparing JARs against someone else's server, you should review what you've put in customer_src/lib and livesite_customer_src/lib that might cause conflicts. This includes libraries that are shipped with teamsite but differing version numbers, and/or libraries that are differing implementations of packages shipped with teamsite.

(The culprit appears to be that you overrode xerces.jar with a different version, but it could be something else)

Also - are you sure that you're running 7.2.1 as opposed to 7.2.1 SP 1 (or 2, or some other variation rather than vanilla 7.2.1.0.0)?

I ask because there were significant changes made as part of the service pack / patch to 7.2.1 and those changes need to be made to both the source (TeamSite) and target (LSCS / LSDS) sides - and if that isn't done properly you end up having to dump a bunch of data, rectify the issue to make sure that libraries are in sync, and then start over with the deployments from scratch.

As it is, I no longer have a 7.2.1.x version around, so I'm not sure what versions / sizes of jar files are present in it.

Can we reinstall the webapps so that the jars are restored.

If you remove jars from customer_src/lib and livesite_customer_src/lib and they had overwritten an ootb, then the build will bring the originals back.

Or you can disable the customer toolkits and run a `install_webapps.ipl -i -f content_center`

Eh.. The command provided restored all libraries to their original state and removed whatever you had added. Not sure what you were expecting.

That's not one of the ootb libraries, no. Not sure what gave you that impression.

If you need a vendor supplied piece of the product, you should contact HP Support to get it rather than asking users here (whom you most likely don't know) to supply you one.
