Component Preview Issue

Hi,

We are using TeamSite 7.4.1
OS - Windows 2008 R2

I have created a component and used DCR Datum.
After selecting my site in Preview Settings drop-down, when i preview the component and clicked on set default content and browse for DCR, i am getting below mention error-

Does not exist: //server-name/iwadmin/main/campaigns/WORKAREA/shared/templatedata/test/common/data

I have tried different sites as well but it always it browse in campaigns branch.
Please, let me know if there is any configuration i can do to resolve this.

So - does this mean that you did, or did not, preserve the 7.4.1 /default/main/component-guide branch and the 7.4.1 /iwadmin/main/livesite/component branch?

The reason I ask is that - all too often someone will upgrade the product but blindly overwrite the updated parts of the backing store that correspond to the product - or - they properly upgrade the product and the branches, but neglect to update their own custom code to work with the upgraded product.

So if this is a case where you recently went through some form of upgrade process and now none of the component pieces work (or none of the custom vs. none of the OOTB) - then it stands to reason that some part of the upgrade process was not handled correctly.

This is mostly a guess - I, personally, have not done much in the way of SP/LS development work, but I've been involved in a considerable number of upgrades and this is one of those areas that you have to be particularly careful about.

Hi Ghoti,

We did preserve the 7.4.1 /default/main/component-guide branch and the 7.4.1 /iwadmin/main/livesite/component branch.

In server.log log, i can see the siteVPath points to the site which i have selected from drop-down but still while selecting the DCR, it goes for campaings branch.

This is a known bug and was fixed in 7.4.1.1 (Update 1).

No. You can install update 1 over the top of TS 7.4.1. I've done this and didn't have an issue.
