Dashboard Tasks are not appearing

System

We installed TeamSite 7.4.1.1 on a new server and are testing.

I started a workflow and the active task is assigned to me but I cannot see it in "Tasks" under the new TeamSite UI (standard). I can see files under Favorites and Work in Progress but nothing the Tasks.

I turn on additional logging for the dashboard but I don't see any errors in the logs.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

The portlets in the new UI are all dependent on the selected workarea context near the top-left of the screen. Make sure that you've selected the area in which that job is running.

If that's not it, check whether you can see the tasks in your "My Open Tasks" in CCPro.

Yes, I do have the correct workarea selected (I tried different ones) and I tried My Tasks, My group tasks, and All Tasks.

Since you've already checked the server logs, maybe there's a JS problem..
* What does the panel show -- "No tasks to display" or blank?
* Does it appear to reload when you change the view in the dropdown and/or the workarea?
* When using the dev tools in your browser (ie dev console, firebug, or chrome inspector), are there any JS exceptions after trigging a context change?
* Do you see a POST to /teamsite/action/tasksModule? Is the following the result of the post, or is there more?

I see "Loading Tasks..." when I select a new workarea.

I don't see errors in firebug, I also checked IE no errors.

I see the post and the results are: { "results": [], "totalCount": 0 }

Well you have potentially two issues then.

1- since your "Loading tasks..." message doesn't go away, then the callback handler for the ajax function is probably erroring silently and you'll want to play in firebug to narrow down the cause. Even when it returns zero results, the panel should update to show "No tasks to display" when the call completes.

2- this is possibly a side-effect of #1, but it looks like the server doesn't think you actually have any tasks assigned to you. could be because of a JS exception getting the context stuck on a different workarea than what you selected (inspect the data it's posting to check), or you also have a server-side problem where it fails to find your tasks and you'll have to turn on additional logging to find why.

I noticed if the Task has a time stamp ex: "6/11/14 12:00 AM" the task will not appear in the TeamSite UI view until I set the Task's due date to just 6/11/14.

I have these errors in the core.log file:

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Guessing here, but the NumberFormatException implies that the engine is trying to read the input as a number rather than a date.. so try storing a unix timestamp in the field rather than a formatted date.
