LSCS Deployments failing

Hi All ,

Iam on TS 7.3.2, Solaris.

I am using Startdeploy.sh for deploying DCRs to LSCS runtime , but the deployments are failing . I checked the lscs logs on the base but no relevent info has been recorded.

On the runtime I found that the lscs logs there I found the following inputs in the logs , attaching log details for your refernce .

You'd probably have to peer into the DB to find out what's going wrong. Most DB vendors would provide you with the foreign key ID that was violated, so you had something to go on... With only this, I'd venture a guess that maybe you're trying to deploy an EA that already exists with different casing -- seen that happen before. But if that's not it, inspecting the DB is probably your best bet.

At the first instance I thought this would be something related with DB, but didnt get the idea of the foreign key constraint . Also the context id is failing to create, could this be related to the foreign key voilation.

It could. You'd have to provide an error message to know for sure.

it's the issue with foreign keys due data mismatch in respective referenced tables and hence preventing the inserts, The db team have dropped the foreign key constraint. and now the deployments are fine.

They're probably not fine actually. The FK constraint is there to ensure data integrity. If it was complaining, it's because your data is probably inconsistent. By dropping the constraint, all you're doing is ignoring the problem instead of fixing it. This could lead to further data corruption and a much bigger headache later.

I suggest you restore the FK constraint and figure out what's wrong with your data. Get HP Support on the phone if you need to.
