Notification server not updating user records

Hi,
I am trying to upload user records into notification server by invoking Url. I always get success message, but the records doesn,t seems to be uploades. I set tjr loglevel to 2 but ldap.log not generating. Hence i cant debug.

I am using oracle directory server/ active directory for authentication not MS AD.
Can some one send me import success URL so that i can follow. Also why log file is not generating?

Got It. i am able to now import users and retrieve. But it seems USER iD field is coming blank.

Is it common?

This is a known issue and recommended using APA based E-Mail workflows. The reason is usually UserID and EMail attributes will be same on any ActiveDirectory/LDAP servers and this issue happens when these two attribute values are different.

unfortunately, we don't have APA license. hence i am keen to make email functionality work. since its working in 4.6.2, i think users would except more from 8.1 , but can't agree to loose existing email functionality.

If you observe the email tag in respone xml, it displays correctly.

The issue is only with used ID field. uid is the the attribute in our directory.

Is there any workaround to make email functionality to work without APA?

Notification Server imports just the data coming from AD/LDAP server. And it does not modify any attributes before importing to Notification Server's database.

Looks like UserID is mapped UserPrinicipalName attribute of AD. I think that's the reason UserID field is empty and UID holds the value in your case.

Are you able to search the users in E-Mail actions and E-Mail functionality working?

yes, i am able to search the users is email Actions.

But user name field is coming as blank and email id is coming up correctly.

When i click on Add, emaild id is not pasting in the text box.

Selecting the email address changes the display details to UserID/UserPrinicipleName attributes of LDAP/AD.

In your case, it will be blank since UserID/UserPrincipleName are blank on LDAP/AD directory.

Is there any other way to import users to Notification server apart from AD/LDAP?

like CSV, XLS, or any other way so that userID can be populated.

No, Shravan. Its not possible to import the users using CSVs or any other formats.
