Fixed Layout Error Log.

Hi

I Am busy creating a fixed layout but i think there might be something wrong seeing that its not showing in my dropdown.

Where/what log file can i go look at to see whats wrong. Another post suggest serverd.log or something like that but i did a search on the whole machine and could not find this file. I have 7.2 installed.

That would have been servletd_out.log (I'm guessing), and it's 6.x-specific. You want server.log under ApplicationContainer/server/default/log/server.log.

That said, it's possible but unlikely you'll get any messaging there anyway. You'll only see errors if you were actually trying to render a page with a broken layout. If it doesn't show up at all, it's more likely you won't see anything in the logs because it's just being ignored.

Make sure you properly ran your build, that your changes ended up in iw-cc.war under AppContainer, and that your layout config is valid XML. If that all checks out, post your config.
