Changing SIDs

We are in the midst of changing our LAN security from an "old" structure to a "new" structure (technical, I know). That means that all my user's are receiving new SIDs. That also means that unless I can do something, I'm going to have a mess with file ownership (especially editions) and workflows.

This will also be important if/when people leave.

I remember hearing something about a way to "map sids" but I can't find it. Any one remember/know how to do this?

You can use iwidmap to do this. I have done this before, it works but I'm not sure how clean it is.
I found there were a bunch of unused SID's on the systems afterwards that still showed up in the files that can be extracted using this command.
Have a look at the CLT and the Admin manuals.
