CheckIn Docs to a CACHE server

I have an issue with saving a document to a caching server. I use the CheckInToFolderAsNewDocumentWithResults method and this code works well when connected to the primary WorkSite server. However the same code fails to trigger a background synchronization to the primary Document store when I am connected to a caching server. Does anyone have experience of this?

Stop Press: There appears to be a IManCacheableContent interface with an .AddToCache() Method. I am about to start testing using this.
