Getting metadata field values on muti file tagging

Hi,

I have a textbox and if I select 5 files for tagging i need to get values in the five textboxes in my javascript code. I want to update the textboxes individually. Please help me to find out a solution.

Its quite vague as how you put in the query, but from what i Understand you can use a callserver to send file names to an ipl and using iwextattr you can fetch the extended attributes in the ipl and set to 5 fields and send them back to your java script.

Thanks for your replay...My requirement is that, I am tagging mutiplefiles and I have a button.On click I have a popup window on which I will be entering value for these textboxes.After closing the popup window i need to update all the textboxes using javascript.

Which version of TeamSite?
I assume you're using the "new" Tag UI interface - yes?
Depending on the version of TeamSite, you should have a "Copy to All" option to copy the setting of a field for one file to the same field for all files.
Is that not what you're looking for?
