Reset file permissions

Hello,

I am looking for a way to reset file permissions after a file is copied from one branch to another (by a workflow). The challange is that the file is not submitted in this process. The workflow is only expected to copy that file to the target workarea. The user wants to have the control over submission.

Any ideas?

Can't you find out what the permission of that file is, once copied the file over, reapply the permission all in your workflow? You can use workflow variables to hold the permission which would carry over to all the tasks.

You can have an event trigger set up on Create File to update the file's permissions based on submit.cfg. There's a CLT that will do that for you. I leave the exercise to you to figure out how to do it.
