731 SitePublisher Edit Mode Display Issues, not see anything in edit mode for .page

Hi,

We're seeing some strange behavior for our SitePublisher experience when we edit pages, or try to create new pages. The display of our page in edit mode is not available, on the left hand side we are not able to see any component which we add on that page. But, in the preview mode, the page displays perfectly. We need to get the Edit mode to display the page.

We have recently upgraded from 721 to 731, on windows 2003. Previously it was working before upgrade.

I have checked all the layout related xsl files, I also tried to revert all those layout related xsl file (with the one we have for 721) but that also didn't help to resolve the issue. I also checked all the logs but no error reported in anywhere.

Anybody have any idea about what will be wrong here? What will be the possible reason and what the resolution?

This is almost certainly a javascript issue of some kind, notably yours is interfering with iwov's edit mode scripts somehow. Use firebug or the IE dev console to investigate.

Had a similar issue earlier this week. It was a result of including a JS library (modernizr) as a resource at the site level.

I ended up pulling it out and putting it in through a head insertion.
