html 5 attributes in sitepublisher layout

Hi,

We are trying to implement a mobile website using sitepublisher. The mobile site uses html5 & jquery for presentation.

The HTML 5 pages has attributes like "data-role" which do not seem to be supported by fixed layouts. Adding these attributes at the row / column or area level does not seems to work. Sitepublisher while building the pages just ignores it.

However for our mobile page to work, these attributes are mandatory. Is there a way to make sitepublisher understand the additional attributes (data-role) added to the fixed layout's row/column/area elements?

Unlike div / table layout, there seems to be no option to create custom page types and have custom defined fixed layouts used this page type for rendering.

Any suggestions please?

What OS/version ? IIRC, HTML 5 support was added in 7.3.2 to SP, you may need to get a copy from support.

Just a quick follow-up question...

HTML 5 controls the valid meta tags in a page. "vpath" is not one of them (AFAIK at the moment).

I this fixed in 7.3.2?

No, but you can remove it by overriding (or changing) the default stylesheet for that layout.

Officially no, you can request it. I have noticed some issues and I expect they are trying to clean everything up.
