Configure PLC dilemma

Hi,

I was wondering if Autonomy has come up with a document that lists the steps to configure the OOTB plc. If they havent, does anyone know of any alternate repository (like a devnet blog, webcast) that could help me out?

The only thing that's officially documented can be found in the SitePub Developer guide. If you need more specifics, there's loads of discussion about the PLC on devnet specifically because the documentation isn't great, and because people want to make it do all sorts of crazy things. And if you're still getting nowhere, ask more pointed questions Smiley Wink

Thank you for your prompt answer Rick. I understand the limitation of the documentation. I was wondering if Autonomy ever came up with a way to see through the most basic set up of PLC (possibly with LSCS, DD and OD to Dev and production).

I will get back to the community with specific queries.

Autonomy's issue is that the majority of the product is a configurable platform, not a baked solution. You're free to make it do whatever you want it to do, and on (almost) any infrastructure and deployment paths. So there *can't be* a "default configuration to get anybody going". If there were, the installer would just have configured it for you.

I could easily write you a PLC Configuration Guide, but it would be a 150 page document of recursively nested IF statements. I'm not sure that would be much more helpful Smiley Tongue
