When you say description tag? you meant it is in textarea (VFE or tinyMCE).
In both cases you can embed a video.

If you want a Button and video has to pop up in a seperate window. you can always write your CGI to do so.

I believe the intent is to be able to do this when clicking on the (?) icon that shows up to display the item description information in the DCT form.

That's controlled via JavaScript I believe - not sure how one would "hijack" it to display anything other than what it currently does.

The button idea on the DCT form - or customizing the Help (upper-right-corner) content would probably be the way to go.

As stated, unless someone knows how to hijack the Javascript code that FormsPublisher uses (internally) to render the (?) icon and get it to allow you to play a video - I don't think you can meet this "requirement" - and instead have to offer alternative solutions to your customer (such as the callout button or modified Form Help options).

You might be able to get a better sense of what you're being asked to do by bringing up the DCT in Firefox with Firebug, and right-clicking on the (?) icon and doing an "Inspect element with Firebug" (or whatever the option is) so that you can see the code that you're trying to modify.

I'm pretty sure that if you can modify it, it will probably require a semi-support (at most) hack that would affect every (?) icon on every field in every DCT - but I could be wrong. I've never been asked to do this, so I've never dug into it - I do know that your options for modifying the contents of the description pop-up are severely limited, and that the implementation of that pop-up is not very well done (e.g.: The width of the pop-up is dependent upon where the (?) icon shows up. If your label wraps you may only get a very skinny pop-up, etc.)
