Real Dev deployments in PLC ?

Hey

7.3.2 on Linux (though applicable to earlier versions). Trying to set up the PLC to do a real deployment for the dev server.

I thought I could just change the Dev JavaBean to be a complete deployment but no such luck,


I can add a complete new node, but thought there should be a much cleaner way of doing this. Am I missing something ?

The OpenDeployDeploymentDescriptor (or the ODServiceAdapter, whichever) is hardcoded to ignore any node called "development". So you can either rename/recreate that node to name='preview' or whatever and adjust your workflow accordingly, or you can override the config for the more 'internal' beans which is surely less supported.

I agree that it seems like there should be an easier way, but there isn't. 'development' is more or less hardcoded to mean 'internal deployment to sitepub preview' not 'deployment to a preview server'.
