TS is running slow

Hi everyone,

TS 7.2 on Linux server is running very slow. When I dig through a little bit I found out two very large log files (iwutild_cmdout.log=52GB and access.log=308GB). In addition the server team informed me there is only 26 MB Memory left on the server. Now we are planning to increase the RAM on the server and is it ok to delete those two log files as well? Is there any other log files I should check/delete? Please advise.

Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated.

A lot of possibilities. You will need to stop TS to cycle the access log.

Check your OD folders. Also in the TeamSite/local/logs/iwui folder as well as ApplicationContainer/server/default/logs Most of those are cycled so there will be a lot of medium sized files.

Finally run TOP before you turn of TS. See what is consuming memory, likely that will be iw.server, but there may be a rogue java process or three. There are memory leaks out there, in Java and in TS.

Thanks Nipper for your quick response. I have deleted those log files and restart TS. Now its performing better. But when I ran TOP I found out, wscansw process is taking 86-90% of the CPU. Is this something related to TS? Please advise.
