How to deploy whole XML file to 1 column

Hi there,

How can I use OpenDeploy/DataDeploy 7.3.1 to deploy a whole XML file (a DCR) to 1 text column of a table? The target DB is MySQL. My table has 2 fields:

path
xml

No, I don't want to deploy individual fields from the DCR.

Will I need to create an intermediate XML file, whose root element will consist of the DCR (after encoding it somehow)? Or is a tuple preprocessor what I need?

Either way could work I suppose... but why use a database? Wouldn't just deploying to a file system make more sense if all you need is path+xml?

Beats me. It's temporary. Fortunately, I was able to do the following:

< attrmap>
< column name="teamSiteId" data-type="varchar(255)" value-from-field="path"/>
< column name="details" data-type="text" value="file:$area/$dcrpath^" is-url="yes"/>
< /attrmap>

This is the first time in many years that I've been so happy with OpenDeploy.
