Hi All,
Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions on tracking visitor navigation path/flow on a public website built using HP .pages (LSDS)?
Thanks,Sanjeev
Depends on the larger requirement. Your analytics probably does this without any help from LiveSite.
If you want to have dynamic content based on the clickstream, have a look here:
context.getUserSession().getClickStream();
Hi Poulin,
I am not sure, what you mean by your analytics probably does this and I am not looking at dynamic content based on clickstream.
What task I have been given is, need to analyze visitor browisng pattern on our public site {What navigtation path they are taking to reach particular product or service or any other portion of site]. Is there any path/navigation where visitor is loosing or getting messed for the required information.
Post that analysis, the plan to make corrections at the site, to cater or make easy navigation for the visitors.
I have not done these kind analysis in past, I am looking something to start up with.
Thanks.
The reason behind posting in wrong forum is ....
I did not login to community long time, I did when it was devnet (old).
Got confused suddenly with new changes. Took sometime
What I'm saying is that this does not require custom builds. If you use a product like Google Analytics (free), or Webtrends, or any other analytics tool, they all provide clickstream analysis -- it's a very common feature. You should look at adding one of these to your site and then you can call it a day.
Thank You. Here we have Marketo and Omniture. Let me explore more on these two and come back for any help.
