New skin is not appearing in selection list for one component

We have created a new skin and want to use this skin for a component. Now when I use this ski for one component, it is not available in the list of available skins. But same ski is available for another component.

What causes this ? How can I get to see this skin for all components ?

1st, you should read this post and then repost your question.

Skins are applied only to 1 component, so if your question was accurate, this is how the system was designed. If the question was not worded correctly, retry it,

I read the question a bit differently.. I think maybe the component that doesn't work is from a version before the new skin existed, in which case you need to replace the component with a newer version on that page. You can use the "check for updates" option from that component's popup menu in the console, if the popup doesn't come up by itself at page load. Note that you need certain user perms to be allowed to do this.

I suspect you are probably right, but I would like to see the user articulate the specifics. Maybe 1 page has a template that contains the component while the other has the component directly.

With better details. one may find out.
